Sometimes the way seems difficult.  That was in Adam’s mind from Katunga.  What is the best pump to draw water 400 metres away along the GV Highway?  He would need a large pipeline and lots of patience to negotiate with Regional Roads Victoria gaining permits to access the Roadside Reserve.  The power was near his house so that is where the pump needs to be to use for watering the lawn and gardens.  After many months of discussions, it was suggested he could install transfer pump that does not need power. 

A surface mounted Solar pump could fill his tank from a different direction that meant he didn’t have to bore under the main road.  Adam negotiated with neighbours and used 40mm pipe for 600 metres.  He gets plenty of water in his tank with a Mono SRX CP800 system with one panel that delivers around 15,000 litres per day. 

This was a much better way avoiding two matters.  One of a long suction line going under a main road and paying to pump the water.  The unit has performed well for over four years.
